It’s that time of year again – the annual Amerit ProTech Challenge, a company-wide qualifying competition for the Technology and Maintenance Council’s (TMC) SuperTech Competition later this fall.
What is the TMC SuperTech?
TMC SuperTech is a premier event in which technicians from all segments of the trucking industry compete annually for top honors and valuable prizes in heavy-duty, trailer, and light/medium vehicle tracks.
The national competition is a two-day event held in Orlando, FL on September 16-18, 2018. Day one features the qualifying round, consisting of a three-part written challenge and various skills tasks. For contestants eligible to move forward, day two consists of the Hands-on Skills Challenge.
Amerit ProTech Challenge Details
Amerit is excited to host its own internal competition for the second year in a row, which will narrow down the top two Heavy-Duty technicians and top two Trailer technicians. These four lucky individuals will go on an all expense company paid trip to Orlando, FL on September 16-18, 2018 to compete and represent Amerit against technicians from around the country at the TMC SuperTech.
Timeline:
July 1st – Amerit Technician Candidate Nomination Deadline
July 9th – ProTech Participants Notified
July 15th – Qualifying Round 1: Written Exam Administered
July 23rd – Round 1 Winners Announced
Aug 7th – Qualifying Round 2: Hands-On Skills Administered in the Pasadena, TX Fleet Service Center
Aug 8th – Round 2 Winners Announced
Aug. 13th – Amerit’s Final 4 Technicians will receive TMC SuperTech Training materials
Sept. 16th – 18th – TMC SuperTech Competition
