Statement regarding Hurricane Harvey
We at Amerit Fleet Solutions are deeply concerned and saddened by the devastation Hurricane Harvey has inflicted on Texas and Louisiana. As Harvey passes and the flood waters recede, our thoughts and focus are on the recovery efforts of those affected.
Over the past week, our Emergency Response Council has been diligently working to ensure our employees in the affected areas are safe and accounted for, and those that are able, are doing what is necessary to support our employees and clients. We are pleased to report that our Fleet Service Center, Mobile Service Centers and customer-based operations in Texas and Louisiana are staffed and operational.
The storm has affected hundreds of our employees from San Antonio to New Orleans, even up to Tennessee. Some have been impacted severely with homes underwater, major damage to structures and overall displacement from their houses. We have confirmed that each team member and their families are secure.
We have been inundated with requests from many of our employees on how they can help those affected. In response, we have set up a relief fund page at http://www.youcaring.com/AFS-Harvey. While the ultimate effects are still being determined for many, we encourage those who would like to assist to visit the site to support our fellow colleagues.
