Amerit Announces Pro-Tech Challenge Finalists
Amerit Fleet Solutions is honored to announce the two finalists of the company-wide Pro-Tech Challenge competition, Juan Salazar of Alexandria, LA, and Derrick Crockford of Baton Rouge, LA. Our top two diesel technicians will go on to represent the company in Orlando, FL, pitting their skills against the best technicians from around the country in the TMC SuperTech Challenge September 16-19, 2017.
The competition began with nominations from Amerit’s Fleet Managers. In all, 17 talented candidates competed in the initial qualifying round. The Top 5 Finalists were then selected based on the following scoring criteria:
- Written test
- Interview discussion and additional questionnaire
The Top 5 Finalists (David Guzman, Todd Hilton, Claude Martinez, Juan Salazar, and Derrick Crockford) were narrowed down to the top three after the judges reviewed overall scoring and interview results. The remaining contestants moved forward into a tie breaker interview to determine the final 2 winners.
“We’re proud of all 17 nominees who competed, and recognize the talent, commitment, and expertise of our technicians at all skill levels. The first annual Pro-Tech Challenge proved an exciting opportunity for employees, customers and friends to support our nominees together. Thank you to everyone who participated. We hope you will join us next year for our 2nd annual Pro-Tech Challenge,” said Kevin Clark, EVP of Field Operations.
